Worship@Woodland, Joshua 24, “As for Me and My House…”
2017 is about to end, 2018 is about to begin. Life is about choices. As we reflect on 2017, would we say that it was a victorious year in our lives for Christ or not, and how will we choose to live in 2018?
- Will we read our Bible, study and pray to conform our lives to God’s will?
- Will we attend worship and Bible study with other believers to maintain a corporate identity with a church?
- Will we give financially to the work of God?
- Will we share our faith with others and reach out and invite them to be a part of our lives?
Joshua inherited the mantle of leadership of Israel for one of the greatest challenges they ever faced, the conquest of the Promised Land. After the conquest had ended, on the eve of his death, Joshua called all the leaders and tribes together and confronted them with a question. Would they serve the pagan gods of their fathers in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell….or would they serve the Lord their God?
BEGIN THE YEAR WITH A RENEWED COMMITMENT TO THE LORD!
