Morning and Evening Worship, January 19, 2014

breadoflifeCome tomorrow as we hear the final few verses on the Bread of Life discourse in the morning worship, when many of those that have been following Christ turn away and no longer follow him.

Then that night, we will continue in our study of 1 Samuel 7 and the Covenant of David, as Samuel leads the Isrealites to turn from pagan Gods and re-commit to follow Yahweh!king_david_and_a_harp_1

Also come and support our youth lunch fundraiser to help with the costs of youth summer trips and our PM fellowship after evening worship!

SWT, Proverbs 7, Avoiding the Trap of Adultery, Tonight – Youth Singing, Pastor Preaching

Everyone come join us tonight for our periodic “coming together” when the youth ministry comes and joins us for Bible study in the Sanctuary.  Tonight Brad will take prayer requests, the youth will read Scripture and lead us in worship and I will preach from Proverbs 7, one of the more explicit teachings against adultery and sexual immorality in Proverbs.  It will be good night to be reminded about relational purity.

Come and Experience our Special Guests – Master’s Voice! This Sunday @ 10:30AM

mastervoiceINVITE A FRIEND!!  INVITE A FRIEND!!  INVITE A FRIEND!!

Master’s Voice is an evangelism team of four men, and their families, devoted to sing and preach the overwhelming and life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ until all know! Please pray for MV as they stand on the promise of John 12:32 when Jesus says, “and I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”

What can a person expect from a MV event? Expect high-energy! Expect to laugh, cry and enjoy the powerful vocals and arrangements from your favorite classic gospel songs, to some new and fresh gospel songs. The motivation is for all to leave different than they came!

Please prayerfully consider Masterʼs Voice for any of the following: Concerts, Revivals, Conferences, Conventions, Fairs, Festivals, etc.

Masterʼs Voice is more than merely a southern gospel group. We know and understand that faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Rom. 10:17), and that it is through the foolishness of preaching, not singing, that men are saved (1 Cor. 1:21); so with that in mind, MV has a heart for the preaching of Godʼs word, so if you are in need of a revival or would like to know how to get MV to your conference, we would be honored to be involved as heavily as needed, whether it be music only, preaching only, or both.

Seeking Wisdom Together – Proverbs 6, 20-35

My son, keep your father’s commandment, and forsake not your mother’s teaching.

21 Bind them on your heart always; tie them around your neck.  22 When you walk, they will lead you; when you lie down, they will watch over you; and when you awake, they will talk with you.  23 For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching a light, and the reproofs of discipline are the way of life, 24 to preserve you from the evil woman, from the smooth tongue of the adulteress. 25 Do not desire her beauty in your heart, and do not let her capture you with her eyelashes; 26 for the price of a prostitute is only a loaf of bread, but a married woman hunts down a precious life.

27 Can a man carry fire next to his chest and his clothes not be burned?  28 Or can one walk on hot coals and his feet not be scorched?  29 So is he who goes in to his neighbor’s wife; none who touches her will go unpunished.  30 People do not despise a thief if he steals to satisfy his appetite when he is hungry, 31 but if he is caught, he will pay sevenfold; he will give all the goods of his house.  32 He who commits adultery lacks sense; he who does it destroys himself.  33 He will get wounds and dishonor, and his disgrace will not be wiped away.  34 For jealousy makes a man furious, and he will not spare when he takes revenge.  35 He will accept no compensation; he will refuse though you multiply gifts.
